Fun at the 1st annual PEAK DOG challenge event...

Yesterday was the the big day...the 1st annual PEAK DOG challenge event.  The day was perfect weather and everyone had fun... We had 18 challenge station for dog and handler teams and 18 kids only challenge stations...we had pizza, water and candy bars for sale...raffle prizes and a silent auction.  BOOKS A MILLION even came and set up a booth where sales benefited the program.  So far we raised $395 for the program and hope to get a bit more with the silent auction items and proceeds from BAM sales...I will also have candy bars for sale at the next few trials...

Thanks to everyone that came out to play with there dogs and helped set up or pack up...Already thinking about how to make it bigger and better for next year....Vixen says fundraising is exhausting!

Let's Lick Bullying!

Sorry it took me so long to post about this...I was hoping that someone had taken a picture at the event, but they didn't...A couple of weeks ago the girls and I presented " Let's Lick Bullying" at Broadway Presbyterian Church. It was a small group, but was very engaged and had a lot of personal experiences to share...it was really great to have the students and there parents open up and talk about what's going on in the schools and steps that are or are not being taken, along with suggestions on how to improve the situation.  I hope we have more presentations like this and have a chance to start to really making a difference in these kids lives.
